Get there how you can, for it’s worth the effort. The terrain may make it slightly more challenging if the weather is inclement. Located on a gravel drive on top of a mountain with a paved road leading up to the top, it’s best if you get there with a 4-wheel-drive vehicle. This secluded spot in the mountains, an Airbnb rental aptly named Seclusion, truly lives up to its name and provides a luxurious way to escape without roughing it. Oh and there are beautiful views of the cliffs all around! Heads up for my pet loving couples (which is most of you all lol!): no pets allowed here which is a bummer. It’s handicap friendly and there are multiple locations that you could pick to have your ceremony. There are also multiple covered porches which is a great backup plan to a rainy or a hot day. Indian Creek Lodge is another great big cabin that I’ve done a few weddings at now! Like the Manor House, it sleeps a lot (20 people to be exact) and would be the perfect place to hangout with your loved ones for the weekend. I really want to highlight hosts that actually live out in the gorge!) (I’m hoping to grow this list over the next few years, if you have an airbnb in Red River Gorge that allows weddings, shoot me an email. I’ve done some research and a lot of reaching out to airbnb hosts and here are the cabins I’ve found that will allow elopements and small weddings! Check out the list below. Here’s the thing though, a lot of cabins or airbnbs don’t allow weddings, even the tiniest weddings. Or they want a cabin as an indoor option in case of rain! I’ve even had a couple decide to have their wedding at the cabin because 1) they didn’t want their families to have to hike out to the remote spot that we were taking photos 2) It was hot! One question I get a lot the more I do weddings in Red River Gorge is, “Where do we get married?” A lot of the couples I work with aren’t having big weddings so they don’t need a whole wedding venue, but they still want a place to get ready or a place for their families to stay.
